ZTE Nubia Z9 featuring 5.2-Inch 1080p Display, Snapdragon 810 SoC, 4GB RAM announced

ZTE has announced the Nubia Z9 smartphone for the chinese markets. It comes in Black and Gold color options and comes in Classic, Elite and Exclusive Editions.  This mobile phone will go on sale in China from May 21, 2015. Global roll-out date has not been announced yet.

The ZTE Nubia Z9 Classic edition sprots 3GB of RAM and 32GB of Internal ROM and is priced at 3499 Yuan (Rs. 35,900 / US$ 565). The Elite Edition and the Exclusive Edition of the phones with 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage are priced at 3999 Yuan (Rs. 41,000 / US$645) and 4499 Yuan (Rs. 46,100 / US$725) respectively. The ZTE Nubia Z9 exclusive edition comes with an additional finger print sensor.

The phone is 8.9mm thick and weighs 192 Grams. It has a 5.2-Inch bezel-less display with Continuous Grain Silicon (CGS) 2.5D OGS screen. It has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and 424ppi pixel density. The exclusive edition sports three in one finger print recognition technology that is included in power key and volume rockers.

Inside is a 64-Bit Octa Core Snapdragon 810 Chipset (Quad Core 2GHz Cortex-A57 + Quad Core 1.5GHz Cortex-A53). The SoC is backed with 3GB RAM and 32GB Storage or 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB on internal storage, depending on the version.

The phone has Dual Nano SIM slots that support 4G-LTE. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Nubia UI 3.0. The ZTE Nubia Z9 specs also include a 8 mega pixel camera on the front with Sony IMX179 Exmor R BSI Sensor with 80-degree wide viewing angles. On the back is a 16 mega pixel primary shooter with features LED Flash, F/2.0 Aperture, 6P Lense, Sony IMX234 Exmor RS Sensor, Auto Focus, HDR etc.

The hardware gets the power from 2900 mAh battery. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Dual Band, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, MHL 3.0, USB OTG, NFC, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
