Xiaomi has just announced a its latest smartphone named the Redmi 3. It is priced at 699 Yuan (Rs. 7,150 / US$ 107) in China and coems in Classic Gold, Gold, Silver and Dark Grey color options. It will go on sale from January 12, 2015. Company did not reveal details on global availability.

This budget smartphone has measurements of 139.3 x 69.6 x 8.5 mm and weighs 144 grams. It has 5-Inch IPS Display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and sports metal body with magnesium alloy unibody design. The back panel has star pattern (4166 stars) visible at certain angles.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3 houses Hybrid Dual SIM slots (Micro + Nano / MicroSD) and runs on Android 5.x lollipop OS with MIUI 7. It supports 4G-LTE / 3G HSPA+ networks and houses 4000 mAh (4100 mAh typical) battery inside.
The mobile is powered by (1.5GHz x 4 + 1.2GHz x 4) Cortex-A53 Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processors with Adreno 405 GPU. It has 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 128GB using MicroSD Card.
On the front is a 5MP selfie camera with F/2.2 Aperture and 1080p video recording capabilities. On the back is 13MP main shooter with F/2.0 Aperture, LED Flash, Phased Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) and supports 1080p videos.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS/GLONASS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
