Xiaomi Redmi 2 now available in India for Rs. 5,999

Xiaomi Redmi 2 phone is now available in India for Rs. 5,999. Company had already hinted the price cut via social media. Initially the phone was launched with a price-tag of Rs. 6,999.

The Redmi 2 budget phone will be available online at discounted rates from, Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal starting today. It comes in White and Black color options.

A quick look at he spec sheet states a 4.7-Inch IPS Full Lamination Display with 720p Resolution and 312ppi pixel density. It is powered by 1.2GHz Quad Core Snapdragon 410 SoC, Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB Internal Storage ROM that is expandable up to 32GB.

It has a 2 Mega Pixels selfie camera on the front and 8 mega pixel main shooter on the back with OmniVision Sensor, F/2.2 Aperture, 5 element lens, 28mm wide angle, Panorama, HDR etc. Inside is 2200 mAh Li-Ion Battery with Quick Charge 1.0. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Hotspot, Direct, Wi-Fi Displty, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc. are also present.
