When Using Instant-On Mode
Console will automatically check for the XBOX One Firmware update when the device is sleep. The update will automatically download in the background from the servers. Once finished, the console will shut off. One will have to manually switch on the console after download of the update is finished. Xbox One voice command won’t be available till the XBOX One Firmware update is installed followed by restart. Installing the update can take up to 3 to 5 minute and after that users will be greeted by home screen.
When Using Energy Saving Mode
If the console is using Energy Saving Mode or disconnected from internet connectivity. One might have download the mandatory update when the console is reconnected to the internet. Users will be greeted with “It’s time to update Screen”. Console will find the update size and show the details with the option to “Start Update” and “Turn off XBOX”. If XBOX one is connected wirelessly than an additional option to “Disconnect Wireless” will pop up as well.
Update will start downloading and can be checked easily through progress bar with MB Countdown. After finishing the download, update will start installing followed by Restarting screen.
