Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10074 now available

Microsoft has released the Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10074 ISO and are up for download. Microsoft has also renamed the “Technical Preview” to “Insider Preview” to reflect the importance of the Windows Insider community.


Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10074 Improvements

  • General UX Improvements: With this users will notice all new Live Tile animation for start along with enhanced performance and stability. Company has also worked on improving the support for high DPI Displays and multiple displays. The Aero Glass from Windows 7 has also been included in the Build 10074 owing to the feedback from Windows Insiders.
  • More improvements to Continuum: Efforts are made to improve continuum and make a simplified version of Taskbar. Users will now be take to start screen instead of desktop in the Tablet mode. The Shared divider between two windows will allow size adjustments as well.
  • Multi-Tasking Improvements: The enhancements can be seen in the Windows 10 from Alt-Tab, Task-View, Snap Assist (will be able to close window during Snap Assist).
  • New Default Windows sounds: Many have complained with the same old default windows sounds. Microsoft has heard the prayers, check out the new ones.
  • Visual Refresh and Experience for Cortana:  Cortana feels more ingrained in to overall windows experience. Searching an app within the Start, Cortana can take over and get the right results.  The windows split view control has been added to the Cortana’s left rail. Cortana will also answer questions as it is now powered with Bing Instant Answers.
  • Music and Video Preview Apps now updated.
  • XBOX app April 2015 Update: The update will bring features like Game DVR for PC Games, Screenshots, Live Tiles, User profiles, real-name sharing etc. Xbox controllers are also include with Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10074
  • Improvements on Windows Store (Beta): Apps purchased in Windows 8.1 store will show up in Windows 10. The Store now has blue tile and has a working Xbox Live Games along win in-app purchases.
