Vivo has officially announced its latest flagship phone named the XPlay5. It comes in 6GB RAM / Snapdragon 820 SoC variant and 4GB RAM / Snapdragon 652 SoC model.
The Vivo XPlay5 Ultimate Edition with 6GB RAM / Snapdragon 820 is priced at 4288 Yuan that converts to Rs. 44,400 or US$ 654. The 4GB RAM / Snapdragon 652 SoC version is priced slightly cheaper at 3698 Yuan (Rs. 38,310 / US$ 564). Both these models will come in Rose Gold and Champagne Gold color options.
The phone will be up for order from company’s official website from March 8, 2016. It will start shipping from March 16, 2016.
Vivo XPlay5 Specifications
The phone has measurements of 153.5 x 76.2 x 7.59 mm and weighs 167.8 Grams. It has full metal build curved edges and rounded corners. There is a finger print sensor on the back for added security. It can unlock the phone is just 0.4 seconds.
The Vivo XPlay5 Specs include 5.43-inch dual curved edges Super AMOLED Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The screen has 2560 x 1440 Pixels Resolution and supports multi-touch.
The mobile phone comes in two variants, of which Ultimate Edition houses Quad Core 64-Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Processor with Adreno 530 GPU and 6GB DDR4 RAM. The other model sports Octa Core Snapdragon 652 Processor with Adreno 510 GPU and 4GB DDR4 RAM. Inside is 128GB of non expandable storage as well.
The XPlay5 Features 16MP main camera on the back with F/2.0 Aperture, Sony IMX298 Sensor, Phased Detection Auto Focus (PDAF that focus in just 0.1 seconds) and dual-tone LED Flash. On the front is 8MP primary shooter with F/2.4 Aperture for quality selfies.
The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box and houses 3600 mAh battery inside that supports fast charging via its dual-charging chips. It has 4G-LTE support via its Dual SIM slots. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.1, GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
For enhanced audio output, Vivo has already included CS4398 and AD8397 DAC Amplifier. The high-specs variant boasts ES9028 DAC and TI’s OPA1612 amplifier.
