VAIO Phone (VA-10J) featuring 5-Inch 720p Display, Snapdragon 410 Announced

VAIO Corporation and Japan Communication have come together and launched the company’s first  VAIO Phone (VA-10J) Smartphone. This 4G-LTE capable handset carries price-tag of 51,00 Yen which converts to Rs. 26,350 or US$ 421 approximately without contract. The phone is also available on 2 Year contracts of 3980 Yen for the straight-line plan and 2,980 Yen for light plan.

The phone dimensions are 141.5 x 71.3 x 7.945 mm and weighs 130 Grams. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and has a 5-Inch IPS LCD Display that boasts 1280 x 720 Pixels HD Resolution.

Under the hood is a 1.2GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and Adreno 306 GPU for the graphics. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage inside. MicroSD Card slot is also present that allows further storage expansion up to 64GB.


On the front is a 5 Mega Pixel selfie camera for video calling along with a 13 Mega Pixel main shooter on the back. Some of the camera features include LED Flash, Auto Focus, Touch Focus, Digital Zoom, Geo-Tagging and 1080p Video Recording.

The 2500 mAh built-in battery keeps the handset powered up for long hours. The VAIO Phone (VA-10J) also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, A-GPS, FM radio, 3.5 mm Audio Jack etc.
