Microsoft has surprisingly partnered with Toshiba and introduced its newest budget Windows 8.1 OS based tablet named the Toshiba Encore 7. The announcement of the Tablet was made at Computex 2014 Tech Show by Microsoft’s corporate Vice President, Nick Parker.
Both the companies are closely working to gather in bringing Toshiba Encore 7, the first 7-Inch Windows 8.1 OS tablet. Since the announcement, rumors have been in the wild hinting that the device will carry a pocket friendly price tag of $150 which turns to Rs. 9,000. The tablet is expected to go on sale in the coming months.
Toshiba Encore 7 Key Features
The Tablet is expected to have a 7-Inch Display having 1024 x 600 Pixels Resolution and 16M color depth. The internals will be made up of 1.3GHz Quad Core Intel Atom Z3735 Processor, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage (Expandable).
The Tablet will have a front facing camera as well, details regarding the rear camera is not known. The Toshiba Encore 7 will run on the latest Windows 8.1 Operating System out of the box. Reports also suggests a SIM slot availability however Voice calling support is yet not confirmed. The device will also support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Micro USB V2.0 and 3.5mm Audio Jack.
Other technical specification details are still missing like the Battery Capacity, Bluetooth availability and its version, GPS Support etc.
