Swiss watchmaker Tag Heuer has launched its first luxury smartwatch powered by Android Wear named the CONNECTED. It is priced at US$ 1500 and has array of colorful bracelet options like black, white, blue, yellow, red, green and orange.
The TAG Heuer CONNECTED has been developed in collaboration between La Chaux-de-Fonds, Intel and Google and is inspired by TAG Heuer Carrera. It will launch in Europe on November 12, 2015.

This luxury smartwatch sports a Titanium Grade 2 casing with Horizontal / vertical fine-brushed titanium lugs with 3D-raised fine brushed numerals. It has Black, sandblasted, cardbide-coated titanium bezels with anti-fingerprint coating and also has IP67 ratings for water resistance. The casing has diameter of 46mm, thickness of 12.8mm and weighs 52 grams.
The watch is backed by company’s signature straps that weighs 29 grams and comes in seven unique colors. It has vulcanized rubber with safety push buttons and Titanium folding clasp.
Tag Heuer CONNECTED specs include 1.5-Inch transflective LTPS LCD round touch screen that has 360 x 360 pixels resolution, 240ppi pixel density and supports multi-finger recognition. The display also has a sapphire crystal scratch resistant glass for added durability.
Inside is an Intel based 1.6GHz Dual Core Processor (500MHz normal operation speed) and is backed by 1GB RAM and 4GB of internal storage space. It is compatible with all Android 4.3+ / iOS 8.2+ devices.
CONNECTED features a 410 mAh battery inside that company claims to give minimum 25 hours of battery life on typical usage. It is bundled with Gyroscope, tilt detection sensor, microphone and haptic engine along with directional wind and weather monitoring for enhanced usability.
This Android wear smartwatch makes use of Bluetooth BLE 4.1 to connect with devices. It also supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n (2.4GHz).
