Sony has officially announced its Xperia M4 Aqua smartphone at MWC 2015 event held at Barcelona. The phone will go on sale in Spring 2015 in more that 80 countries and 100 carrier partners world wide. It is priced at 299 Euros (US$ 334 / Rs. 20,700 approx.) and will available in Black, White, Silver and Coral color options.

The handset runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and has a single nano SIM slot that supports 4-LTE connectivity. There is an optional Dual SIM variant as well. This mobile phone is IP65 and IP68 certified making it waterproof and dust proof.
The Xperia M4 Aqua Specs include a 5-Inch IPS LCD Capacitive Display that has Scratch Resistant Glass. The Screen to Body Ratio is 67.6% and sports 1280 x 720 Pixels HD resolution at 294ppi pixel density.
The internal hardware consists of 1.5GHz Quad Core + 1GHz Quad Core Cortex-A53 Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 MSM 8939 (64-Bit Octa Core) CPU and Adreno 405 GPU. The chipset is backed with 2GB RAM and 8GB and 16GB internal storage options. MicroSD card slot is also present.
The 5 mega pixel selfie camera on the front is equipped with 88 degree wide angle lens and is capable of taking 720p videos. On the back is a 13 mega pixel main camera with features like LED Flash, Sony Exmor RS Image Sensor, Auto Focus, Touch Focus, 4x Digital Zoom, Face / Smile Detection, HDR, Panorama, Image / video Stabilizer, Red Eye Reduction, Geo-Tagging, 1080p @ 30 Fps etc.
There is a 2400 mAh Li-Ion non removable battery that gives 17 hours 17 minutes of talk time and 779 hours on standby. This battery also churns out 64 hours 46 minutes of music playback or 6 hours 57 minutes of video.
