Smartphone startup VERNEE present at MediaTek 2016 Conference, Apollo Phone showcased

MediaTek held its new release conference at Nanshan District, Shenzhen, China where it displayed its latest Helio X20 MT6797 Chipset. MediaTek also invited “VERNEE”, a new Chinese phone maker.

Bernee attended this conference with and also showcased its upcoming Flagship smartphone APOLLO (MT6797) and another model named THOR (MT6753). MediaTek has highly accepted this new found company due to its powerful integrated production capacity and remarkable R&D Capacity.

If you are unaware, Helio X20 (MT6797) aims at high-end market and utilizes Tri-Cluster technology. It makes up of (DECA Core or 10 Cores) Quad Core 1.4GHz Cortex-A53 Processors + Quad Core 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 Processors + Dual Core 2.0GHz Cortex-A72 Processors. The frequency can be bumped up as high as 2.5GHz. Moreover, the the Chipset is partnered with Mali-T880 high-performance GPU clocked at 850MHz. This chipset has lower power consumption and heat generation and underlines the great image processing performance of Imagiq technology.

Vernee Apollo main specifications include MediaTek Helio X20 MT6797 Processor inside with Mali-T880 GPU. It will have 5.5-Inch Display with 2560 x 1440 pixels Quad HD Resolution. It will have 6GB RAM and 128GB of on-board storage space. This mobile phone will feature 21MP primary camera Sony IMX230 sensor coupled with 8MP selfie shooter as well. This phone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Other details include Fingerprint sensor, 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5Ghz), Bluetooth V4.1, USB Type-C, GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.

The phone is expected to launch sometime in April 2016.
