Samsung expands its clamshell phone lineup with the launch of W2016 smartphone. It is high end device co-produced by China Telecom and is priced upwards at 9999 Yuan that converts to US$1,565 / €1,470 / Rs. 1,03,460. It comes in Gold and Grey colors. There is no word on global roll out. While there is not much info on the official website, listing at TENAA did reveal most of the specs.
The W2016 is made up of metal and glass that gives a premium feel. It has dual 3.9-Inch Super AMOLED Touch Screen that gives superior color reproduction. It has 1280 x 760 pixels resolution and supports multi-touch.
This clamshell phone is 15.1mm thick and weighs 204 Grams. It has Dual SIM slots that support 4G-LTE networks. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and houses 2000 mAh battery inside that supports wireless charging and fast charging.
The Samsung W2016 specs also include Exynos 7420 chipset with 3GB RAM. It has 64GB of on board storage as well. In terms of camera, it has 5MP front facing shooter and 16MP primary camera on the back with LED Flash and Auto Focus capabilities.
Connectivity options like Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS is present as well.
