Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3 with MIL-STD 810G and IP67 Certification announced – Specs, Price

Samsung has announced the Galaxy Xcover 3 rugged phone with IP67 and MIL-STD 810G certifications. It will be priced at Euro 275 which converts to Rs. 18,150 approx. or US$289. The phone will be showcased at CeBIT and is expected to reach stores in April 2015, says SammyHUB.

This handset is a 9.95mm thick and weighs 154 Grams. The military grade rugged built quality can safely take up to 1.2 Meters of fall. The IP67 certifications makes it water resistant up to a depth of 1 meter for 30 Minutes. This smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS which is upgradable to Android 5.0 in near future.

It is powered by 1.2GHz Quad Core processor, 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of Internal Storage ROM. There is a MicroSD Card slot that allows further storage expansion up to 64GB.

On the front is 2 Mega Pixel selfie camera coupled with 5 Mega Pixel main shooter on the back with LED Flash and Auto Focus capabilities. There is a dedicated button on home, menu and back to launch camera or enable LED Flash.

This smartphone is 4G-LTE capable and supports connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, A-GPS / GLONASS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
