Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge are now official. Korean Smartphone maker has announced both the phones at a press event held at MWC 2015 in Barcelona. Both the phones will be available starting April 10, 2015. There is no info on the pricing yet.
The S6 will be available in white pearl, black sapphire, gold platinum and blue topaz color options. The S6 Edge will come in all the same color options with additional green emerald color.

The Galaxy S6 mobile phones have somewhat a different design than its predecessors and sports some beastly specifications. Aesthetically S6 Edge has curved edges on the left and right but internally, Specs are almost the same. There is a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 finish on the front and back for safety and that gives a premium look too. It has a finger print sensor on the home button which is PayPal Certified along with heart rate sensor for the needy and gymoholics.

There is a 5.1-Inch Super AMOLED Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection on both the phones (S6 Edge has curved edges on both the sides). Screen resolution 2560 x 1440 Pixels with 577ppi pixel density.
Global variants will be powered by 2.1GHz Quad Core Cortex-A57 + 1.5GHz Quad Core Cortex-A53 Exynos 7420 Processor coupled with Mali-T760 GPU for the Graphics. The chipset is backed with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM. Both the phones will have 32GB, 64GB and 128GB storage variants with non expandable storage.
The 5 Mega Pixel selfie camera has f/1.9 Aperture, Auto HDR, Dual Video Calling and supports 1080p @ 30 Fps. On the back is a 16 mega Pixel main camera with features like F/1.9 Aperture, Optical Image Stabilization, Auto Real-HDR, Low Light Video, LED Flash, Auto Focus, Touch Focus, Face Detection, Panorama, High Clear Zoom, IR Detect white balance, Slow / Fast motion, Pro Motion, Selective Focus, Geo-Tagging, 720p @ 120 Fps, 1080p @ 60 Fps, 2160p @ 30 Fps etc.
Another minor difference between the two handset is the battery. The Galaxy S6 is powered by a 2550 mAh Li-Ion non removable battery will the S6 Edge sports 2600 mAh Li-Ion Battery. Both the battery supports WPC / PMA Wireless charging Standards.
Talking about the connectivity, the handsets supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), HT80 MiMO(2×2), Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0 with MHL 3 TV-OUT, A-GPS / GLONASS / Beidou, NFC, IR Blaster, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
