Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 cell phones in India. Both the devices comes in White, Black and Gold Color option and are priced at Rs. 14,999 and Rs. 11,999 respectively. There phones were first unveiled last month in China. Both the handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS out of the box.
The Galaxy J7 and J5 smartphones will be available online exclusively on Flipkart from July 23, 2015. Pre-booking of both the devices starts today at 4PM (July 16). Moreover, Samsung is also giving out a Rs. 999 worth Flip Cover at discounted rate of Rs. 199. Other free goodies include Rs. 3200 worth in-app purchase credit from Gameloft, Airtel double data offer on 4G for 6 Months and Rs. 594 worth of offers on Airtel Wynk music.
In terms of specifications, the Galaxy J7 sports a 5.5-Inch 720p Super AMOLED Display, 1.5 GHz Exynos 7580 Octa-Core processor, 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of storage ROM. MicroSD Card support up to 128GB is also present. The cellphone is 7.5mm thick with 171 Grams weight and supports 4G-LTE in India (via Dual SIM slots). There is an 5MP selfie camera with 120 degree wide angle lens and LED Flash. On the back is a primary 13MP shooter with F/1.9 aperture, LED Flash and Auto focus. The device is backed by 3000 mAh battery.
The Galaxy J5 Specs include a 5-Inch IPS Display with 1280 x 720 Pixels Resolution. It is 7.9 mm thick and has 146 grams weight. It has Dual SIM slots that support 4G-LTE (Cat4) networks. Inside is a 1.2GHz Quad Core 64-Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with Adreno 306 GPU, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB storage memory and micorSD support. It has the same 5MP front and 13MP camera on the back and is powered by 2600 mAh battery.
Both the device has connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
