South Korean phone maker Samsung has finally launched its latest J Series phones in India named the Galaxy J5 (2016) and Galaxy J7 2016.
Galaxy J5 (2016) features 5.2-Inch super AMOLED display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and is powered by 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU. It has 2GB RAM, 16GB storage ROM and MicroSD card slot that supports up to 128GB expansion. It has 5MP front camera with 120-degree wide angle lens, and LED Flash. On the back is 13MP main shooter with Auto Focus and F/1.9 Aperture. It has dimensions of 145.8 x 72.3 x 8.1 mm, weighs 159 grams, houses Dual SIM slots (4G LTE / 3G HPSA+) and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. A 3300 mAh battery powers the hardware.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) on the other end has a larger 5.5-Inch super AMOLED Display, 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and support multi-touch. It has 1.6GHz Octa Core Exynos 7870 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM and MicroSD card slot for further expansion up to 128GB. It has Dual SIM slots with 4G LTE support and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The mobile is equipped with the same 13MP camera with F/1.9 aperture on the back with 5MP front camera with 120-degree wide angle lens. Inside is 3300 mAh battery and houses all connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, NFC, GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
Both of these smartphones feature UDS (Ultra Data Saving) function, powered by Opera Max that compresses cellular data usage. They are also equipped with unique S Bike mode.
Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is priced at Rs. 13,990 while the Galaxy J7 (2016) will cost Rs. 15,990 in India. They come in White, Black and Gold color options and includes Double Data offers from Airtel for 6 months. Both the mobiles will be available online from Flipkart from Midnight (today).
