Panasonic has announced at MWC 2016, its latest rugged smartphone named he Toughpad FZ-F1 and FZ-N1. These phones run on Windows 10 IOT Mobile Enterprise and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.
The Panasonic Toughpad FZ-N1 Wi-Fi variant is expected to cost US$ 1,499 (Rs. 1,02,850 approx.). Voice model will launch sometime in summer 2016. The Windows 10 IoT Mobile Enterprise powered Toughpad FZ-F1 is expected to have price-tag of US$ 1,599 (Rs. 1,09,715 approx.) and will launch in fall 2016. It will have data and voice capabilities.
Panasonic Toughpad FZ-F1 and FZ-N1 specifications
It has 4.7-Inch sunlight-viewable display with rain sensing and glove touch mode. It has 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and supports 10-point multi-touch. It comes with optional stylus pen (passive or active) as well.
The FZ-F1 runs on Windows 10 IoT Mobile Enterprise and FZ-N1 comes pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS. It has Dual SIM slots with 4G-LTE, HSPA+, UMTS, CDMA 1X, EVDO Rev.A, GPRS and EDGE.
Both these devices have IP65 and IP67 rating, making the phone durable against high pressure jet spray and is submersible under water up to 3.3ft for 30 minutes. The phone also has MIL-STD-810G rating making it resistant to shocks, vibrations, rain, dust, sand, altitude, freeze/thaw, temperature fluctuations, humidity etc. These phones are are also FIPS140-2 Level-1 compliant and has built-in ARM TrustZone.
The Toughpad FZ-F1 and FZ-N1 Specs include 2.3GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AB Processor with Adreno 330 GPU. Inside is 2GB RAM, 16GB Storage ROM and MicroSD card slot that allows further storage expansion up to 64GB.
On the front is 5MP selfie camera coupled with 8MP primary shooter on the back with LED Flash. It has 3200 mAh battery inside and has an optional 6200 mAh long life battery back. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi HOtspot, Bluetooth V4.1, Bluetooth V4.1, NFC, GPS etc. It also has Angled 1D/2D barcode reader as well.
