OnePlus 2 will have under-clocked Snapdragon 810 SoC

Yesterday OnePlus had confirmed that it will be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 V2.1 Processors in its upcoming OnePlus 2 cell phone. Now company has confirmed that the 810 V2.1 SoC will be clocked at 1.8GHz Cortex A57  cores instead of 2GHz.

Strong rumors about the overheating issues in Snapdragon 810 chipsets has lead the company to clarify the situation. The OnePlus 2 will have Thermal Gel and Graphite layers for heat dissipation.

Company also went out saying that the 810 Soc costs 60% more than the 801 SoC and is but obvious, more powerful than its younger cousin. Considering the additional cost, the OnePlus 2 will certainly be priced at US$ 322 or higher in China.

OnePlus has also urged the community and critics to just wait and see rather than speculating.
