NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1 launched – Key Specs, Price

NVIDIA has launched its latest tablet dubbed as the SHIELD Tablet K1.  It is a slightly updated version of the SHIELD Tablet that launched last year. It is available in United States of America, Canada and select European countries for US$199 or £149.99 .

NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1 Specifications

The device has measurements of 221 x 126 x 9.2 mm and weighs 390 Grams. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is up-gradable to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It includes a 19.75 Watt Hour battery that keeps the device alive.

The SHIELD Tablet K1 Specs include 8-Inch IPS Display that has 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution along with multi-touch support. Inside is 2.2GHz Quad Core NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor with Kepler GPU (192 cores). The chipset is backed by 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage that is further expandable using MicroSD Card slot.

The Tablet sports a 5MP selfie camera and another 5MP primary snapper on the back. It has 9-axis (G-sensor, Gyro, Compass) and motion sensor for enhance usability and gaming experience. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11n 2×2 Mimo, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.0 LE, GPS/GLONASS, Mini-HDMI port, 3.5mm audio jack etc. It also has front facing stereo speakers with dual bass reflex port.
