Motorola has announced the Moto 360 2nd Generation Android Wear smartwatch and Moto 360 Sports Edition at IFA 2015 Berlin.
The Moto 360 2nd Gen pricing starts from $299.99 and ranges to $429.99. It is already up for pre-order from Motorola.com, BestBuy and Google Play and will be available by the last week of September 2015. Other markets of Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America will get this watch soon.
The Motorola Moto 360 Sports Edition sports a special AnyLight Hybrid Display that is visible even in sunlight. The body is made from a special silicon body to make this smartwatch waterproof. It has GPS tracker and a Heart Rate Sensor to track day to day fitness activities. More details on Specs and availability will be announced soon.
The Motorola Moto 360 2nd Generation Specifications
The watch comes in two size variants for men and a special model for aimed at the ladies. It has 1.56-Inch Display that has 360 x 230 Pixels Resolution at 233 ppi pixel density and is packed in a 46mm body. It has 400 mAh battery inside. The smaller model has a 1.37-Inch Display boasting 360 x 225 pixels resolution and 236ppi pixel density. The smaller model has a body size of 42mm and fits a 300 mAh battery inside. Both the models are 11.5mm tall, similar to previous Generation smartwatch.
The Moto 360 2nd Generation has IP67 certification that makes it water resistant. It has wireless charging, Dual Mics, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. It also has Ambient Light and Heart Rate sensors bundled inside. This smartwatch is powered by 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SOC and is backed by 512MB RAM. It also has 4GB of internal storage space.
