Yu Yureka – Full Phone Specifications, Price, Features
Micromax has just launched under its YU Brand, the top of the line smartphone named the Yu Yureka. The phone will be available in a moon stone finish and will carry pocket friendly price tag of Rs. 8,999 ($ 140 approx). The registrations for the phone will open online exclusively on Amazon.in from December 19, 2014 (2PM) onwards and will go on sale starting January 13, 2015. As a special Christmas gift, initial buyers will get a a real hand made leather cover worth Rs. 999 for free.
Yu will also be offering an Unlock-able boot-loader, Kernel source, Full Android build tree and a promise of no warranty void on rooting. As the handset will be available online, company has also announced that it will provide a free replacement or repair to doorstep.
Yu Yureka Features
The mobile phone dimensions are 154.8 x 78 x 6-8.8 mm (height x width x thickness) and has Dual SIM slots with Dual Standby and supports 2G, 3G and 4G-LTE Networks. The phone runs on Cyanogen OS 11 which based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS. The OS is highly customizable with over 1000 plus improvements over standard Android OS. The phone will also receive monthly OTA updates, thus keeping the UI unique and updated all the time.
The Yureka smartphone boasts a 5.5-Inch IPS Display (1280 x 720 Pixels Resolution / 267ppi) with Scratch Resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. The screen uses an In plane Switching Technology which makes the screen optimized and tuned for Pictures and Videos. The display also has wide viewing angles and supports multi-touch.

The handset gets the processing power from 1.5GHz Quad Core + 1GHz Quad Core (Both Cortex-A53) Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-Bit Processor and Adreno 405 GPU. The chipset is backed by 2GB DDR3 RAM. The hardware is more than capable of churning out AnTuTU score of 31117 with ease as per company claims. There is 16GB of Inbuilt storage as well with expandable MicroSD Card slot.
The Micromax Yu Yureka specs also include a 5 Mega Pixels selfie camera on the front with OV5648 Sensor, 4P Lens, 71 Degree FOV. On the back is a 13 Mega Pixel main snapper with Features like F/2.2 Aperture, 5P Lens, Sony EXMOR Sensor, Wide Angle Lens, Blue Filter for light balancing, LED Flash, Auto Focus, Touch Focus, Digital Zoom, HDR, Face Detection, Geo-Tagging, Slow-mo @ 60 Fps,1080p @ 30 Fps, 720p @ 60 Fps etc.
Talking about the connectivity, The handset will have all the major connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, A-GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.

Yureka sells for Rs. 8999 in flash sales and yeah even i am aware about the 12,999 pricing. Still, its still cheaper than highly overpriced HTC Desire 820
