Micromax Canvas Tab P690 launched, available for Rs. 8,999 – Key Specs

Micromax has launched 3G voice calling tablet in India with Intel Soc named the Canvas Tab P690. It comes in metallic grey color option and is priced at Rs. 8,999. Company is also giving out a free flip cover worth Rs. 1500.

Apart from that, users will also get free 6 Kindle e-books, 3 Months Saavn premium subscription, 6 months premium True Caller subscription and 1 month free Hello TV subscription.  Vodafone customers will get 1GB free Data usage for the period of 2 months.

Micromax Canvas Tab P690 Specifications

The tablet has height x width x thickness of 209.8 x 120.5 x 7.8 mm and weighs 318 Grams. It has a Single SIM slot that supports GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz) and WCDMA (900 / 2100 MHz) networks. The device runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS out of the box however, company has promised an update to Android Lollipop in near future.

The Canvas Tab P690 specs include a 8-Inch IPS display with 1280 x 800 pixels resolution and 189ppi pixel density. It also supports multi-touch. The slate is powered by a 1.8GHz Quad Core Intel Atom Processor, 1GB RAM and has 8GB of Internal Storage (3.81GB user available). MicroSD card slot is also present that supports up to 32GB.

It has a 2 mega pixel fixed focus camera on the front and a 5 mega pixel main snapper on the back with Auto Focus and 720p video recording at 30 Fps. Inside is a 4000 mAh battery that gives up to 13.5 hours of 2G talk time.

Connectivity options are also there like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, A-GPS, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
