Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition smartphone has been officially launched for the Chinese markets. It comes in Silver and black (front black and white), silver, gray and gold colors and is priced at CNY 1,799 (US$ 290 / Rs. 18,430) for the 16GB variant.

The phone has height of 144 mm, width of 75.2 mm, thickness of 8.9 mm and weighs 147 Grams. It comes in 16GB storage variants and linux based Ubuntu OS. The handset has 2GB of RAM and is 4G-LTE capable.
The Meizu MX4 Ubuntu Edition smartphone specs include a 5.36-Inch multi-touch IPS Display that boasts 1920 x 1152 pixels resolution at 418ppi pixel density. Inside is a eight core MediaTek MT6595 processor coupled with a customized PowerVR G6200 GPU.
The cellphone sports a 2 mega pixel back-illuminated camera on the front that supports 1080p video.
