LG Shows off 6-Inch P-AMOLED active bending Display with Dual Edges
If you think that the Galaxy Note Edge has a unique screen, than you might be up for a surprise. LG had showcased at CES 2015, a new prototype smartphone with 6-Inch Dual Edge P-AMOLED active bending Display.
Unlike the its Samsung counterpart, LG’s display sports vertical curved edges on both the sides of the phone. The edges are swipe-able and detects taps. It Edges are just 0.7 mm thick and the display only has 1280 x 720 Pixels resolution which is a let down. As per company claims, the screen can reach 300 nits of Brightness and produce 100,000:1 contrast ratio.
If the rumors are to be believed, Xiaomi Arch could very well be the first phone to use LG’s Dual Edge Active Bending Display. There are chances that LG might bring out the same display that supports 1080p or 2K resolution in future.
Rounding things up, Xiaomi’s up-coming phone to 2K resolution, we will just have to wait and see.
