LG G Flex 2 – Curved Phone with Snapdragon 810 goes official – SPECS

If you feel that LG G Flex was an unique master piece of a phone than you are up for a surprise. LG has officially announced the LG G Flex 2 at CES 2015. The handset is more curved, beastly powerful and has an improved self healing back panel. The mobile phone will be available in Flamenco Red and Platinum Silver color options and will go on sale in South Kore buy end of January 2015. Other markets are soon to follow.

LG G Flex 2 – Key Features

Like its predecessor the G Flex 2 sports a curved display along with a curved body. The phone has a 5.5-inch Curved P-OLED Display which is 20% tougher and has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection as a bonus. The screen has 1920 x 1080 Pixels Resolution at 403ppi Pixel Density and supports multi-touch. The back panel sports an improved self healing coating which heals scratches in just 10 seconds on room temperature.

The phone dimension is 149.1 x 75.3 x 7.1 – 9.4 mm. The thickest spot on the phone is measured at 9.4mm while the thinnest spot is 7.1mm. It weighs 152 Grams and a Single Micro SIM Slot that supports 2G (GPRS / EDGE), 3G (HSPA+:42.2 DL/21.1 UL Mbps) and 4G-LTE Connectivity (Cat6 300 Mbps Dl / 50 Mbps UL).

The LG G Flex 2 is amongst the first smartphone to feature a 64-Bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Processor (1.5GHz Quad Core Cortex-A53 + 2GHz Quad Core Cortex-A57). The chipset has Adreno 430 GPU and is backed by 2GB or 3GB of RAM depending on storage option 16GB and 32GB. Both the variants will feature MicroSD Card slot that supports expansion up to 128GB.

Talking about the camera, there is a slight disappointment for selfie lovers as the G Flex 2 comes with a 2.1 Mega Pixel front camera. On the back is a powerful 13 Mega Pixel Snapper with Dual LED Flash. Other features include Laser Auto Focus, Touch Focus, Optical Image Stabilization, Simultaneous Video and Image Recording, HDR, Panorama, Face Detection, Geo-Tagging, 2160p @ 30 Fps, 1080p @ 60 Fps etc.  The handset also supports Gestures for taking selfie pictures,  Gesture View, Glance View etc.

The Mobile Phone runs on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop Operating System out of the box and houses a powerful 3000 mAh Battery. The battery supports Quick Charge 2.0 technology that enables fast battery charging up to 60 % in just 30 Minutes.
