Korean phone maker LG has announced the Band Play Smartphone in Korea. It comes in White and Black Colors and is priced at 394,800 Korean Won (Rs. 22,650 / US$ 356). This latest smartphone will be available from Korean Operator SK Telecom starting June 25, 2015. There is no word on global release date.
LG Band Play Specifications
The phone has dimensions of 139.7 x 71.9 x 8.3 mm and weighs 126 Grams. It has 4G-LTE / 3G HSPA+ support and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
The LG Band Play specs sheet shows a 5-inch HD Display with 1280 x 720 Pixels Resolution. It is powered by 1.2GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 Processor and Adreno 306 GPU.
The Chipset is backed by 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of internal storage ROM. MicroSD Card slot for further storage expansion is also present. It also has a 2300 mAh removable battery inside.
The cellphone sports a 5 mega pixel selfie shooter on the front for video calling / conference. On the back is a powerful 13 mega pixel main shooter with LED Flash and Laser Auto Focus. It also has a special Camera UX for Gesture shots and Gesture view.
The LG Band Play is equipped with a 1W (Watt) powerful loudspeaker for clear sound output. The ‘Focus Mode’ helps the users to ease stress and improve concentration by playing relaxing therapy music.
Talking about the connectivity, the device has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, A-GPS, NFC, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
