Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Tablet announced with Modules for Projector, 3D Camera, more

Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad X1 modular Tablet at CES 2016. It is priced at $899 (Rs. 59,750) and will be available from February. Its productivity module is priced at $149 (Rs. 9,900) and will be available in February. The Projectory module and 3D Imaging Module are priced at US$ 279 (Rs. 18550) and $149 (Rs. 9,900) and will be in stocks from May.

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Specifications

This modular Tablet sports 12-Inch 3:2 Display that gives 2160 x 1440 pixels resolution and supports active stylus. It also has a new firmware algorithm that blocks accidental touches and palm brushes. Inside is Intel Core M7 6th Generation Processor with vPro.  The ThinkPad X1 supports up to 16GB RAM and up to 1TB NVMe SSD Storage.

The device is also equipped with 720p front camera. It also has a rear facing  shooter with LED Flash.  The Tablet runs on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) operating System and comes in Optional LTE-A / Wi-Fi variants.


The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 modular Tablet lets you add according to the requirements, a full size HDMI Port, Pico Projector, additional battery (adds up to 5 hours), ThinkPad keyboard, trackpoint, 3D imaging modules (adds Intel Real Sense R200 3D Camera), OneLink+ Docking connector, optional USB 3.0 port etc. This tablet weighs around 790 grams and with keyboard bumps up to 1kg.
