Lenovo Tab 2 A8 Tablet with 8-Inch Display, Quad Core launched – Specs, Price

Lenovo expands its A Series of tablets at Mobile World Congress 2015 with the announcement of Lenovo Tab 2 A8 voice calling tablet. It comes in 4G-LTE and Wi-Fi only variants and is priced at $179 (Rs. 11,000) for LTE model and Rs. 129 (Rs. 7,950 approx.) for the Wi-Fi version.  The device comes in Pearl White, Midnight Blue, Neon Pink and Ebony color options.

The tablet measurements are 210 x 128 x 8.9 mm and weighs 360 Grams. There is an LTE variant with Dual SIM that supports voice calling. It has 8-Inch IPS LCD Display with 1280 x 800 Pixels resolution with 189ppi pixel density and 70.69% screen to body ratio.


Under the hood is a 1.3GHz Quad Core MediaTek MT8735 Processor for the LTE Variant. The Wi-Fi version is powered by 1.3Ghz Quad Core MediaTek MT8161 Processor. There is 1GB of RAM and 8GB / 16GB of internal storage. There is a MicroSD card slot as well that allows further expansion up to 32GB.

Lenovo Tab 2 A8 specs also include a 5 Mega Pixel auto focus camera on the back coupled with a 2 Mega Pixel selfie camera on the front. There is a powerful 4200 mAh battery that keeps the tablet powered up.

This device runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and has all connectivity features like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth V4.0, MicroUSB V2.0, A-GPS, Dual Front Speakers, Dolby ATMOS 3D Surround Sound, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
