Intex to announce Aqua Fish Phone with Sailfish OS 2.0 and IRIST Smartwatch at MWC Shanghai

Intex has announced the Aqua Fish smartphone at MWC Shanghai 2015. Phones availability is slated by years end. Company has tied up with Finnish startup Jolly and is the first Indian manufacturer to release a Sailfish OS device.

The Aqua Fish will run on Sailfish OS 2.0 out of the box and will support 4G-LTE. The phone is said to be powered by a Qualcomm snapdragon 410 Processor, Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB RAM.

The phone specs also include 4.7-Inch Display with 1280 x 720 Pixels resolution and includes 2300 mAh battery. There is 8GB of Internal Storage ROM and has MicroSD Card slot that supports up to 32GB.

The Aqua Fish sports a 8 mega pixel main camera on the back with LED flash and a 2 mega pixel selfie shooter on the front. Connectivity options like Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth, A-GPS etc are also present.


Intex has also announced the IRIST Smartwatch that comes with built-in 3G Sim support. It is and Android OS wearable smartwatch with 1.6-Inch Display (32oppi).

The IRIST smartwatch features 512MB RAM, 4GB Storage ROM and MicroSD Card slot for further expansion. It has 5 mega pixel camera as well and is powered by 600 mAh battery.
