Intex and MediaTek have come together and has announced its next generation iRist Pro and iRist Junior smartwatches.
With this, Intex becomes first Indian brand to offer IOT-based wearable device. Both of these smartwatches were showcased at 2nd Smart Cities India 2016 Expo in New Delhi.
The Intex iRist Junior, as the name suggests, is aimed at kids. It has 0.96-Inch TFT display and is IP65 rated for water resistant.
It has single 2G SIM Slot that offers two way communication i.e. auto answer and black unknown contacts. It also allows voice chat, add friends and sends of a GPS beacon before power off.
The smartwatch supports Wi-Fi, GPS, LBS, SOS and is compatible with devices running on Android 4.4 / iOS 7 or later. It has 580 mAh battery as well
The Intex iRist Pro comes with 2.5D curved glass display and supports Bluetooth V4.0 connectivity. It is first phone to feature MediaTek MT2502 SoC. It has water resistant body and can make / receive calls as well. Sadly there is no camera, like its predecessor.
The Intex Irist Junior is priced at Rs. 3,999 (MRP). Price of iRist Pro were no announced. Both of these devices were showcased at 2nd Smart Cities India 2016 Expo in New Delhi today.
