Huawei Mate S with 5.5-Inch 1080p Display, Octa Core Kirin 935 SoC announced

Huawei has announced the Mate S cellphone at IFA 2015. The 32GB variant comes in Titanium Grey and Mystic Champagne colors and is priced at 649 Euros (Rs. 48,270 / US$ 730). The 64GB premium variant is priced at 699 Euro (Rs. 51,950 / US$ 786)  and comes in Coral Pink and Prestige Gold color options. A variant with Force Touch is also in the making, more details will be revealed September.

The Huawei Mate S will be up for pre-order in western Europe from from September 15, 2015. Other markets (30 countries) like China, Germany, France, Japan, Israel, UAE, South Africa will get stocks from September 15, 2015.

Huawei Mate S Image -2This is a Dual SIM smartphone (with Dual Standby) that supports 4G-LTE and 3G HSPA+ networks. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS overlapped with Emotion UI 3.1. It has dimensions of 149.8 x 75.3 x 7.2 mm and has weight of 156 Grams.

The Huawei Mate S Specs include 5.5-Inch AMOLED Display with 2.5D curved glass. It has 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 Protection.

The phone gets the processing power from Octa Core Huawei Kirin 935 Processor that is based on BIG LITTLE architecture (2.2GHz Quad Core Cortex-A53 + 1.5GHz Quad Core Cortex-A53). It has Mali-T628 MP4 GPU for graphic performance and has 3GB RAM for smooth multi-tasking. The mobile phone comes in 32GB and 64GB storage variants, both with MicroSD Card slot that allows further expansion up to 128GB.

On the front is powerful 8MP selfie snapper with soft LED flash that takes quality photos. On the back is 13MP main camera with Dual Tone LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization and Auto Focus capabilities.

The Huawei Mate S features a high sensitive Fingerprint Sense 2.0 Sensor for security. The battery inside is of 2700 mAh capacity and is fitted in a stylish uni-body design with metallic finish. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band, Bluetooth V4.1 LE, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS, 3.5mm Audio jack etc.
