HTC has announced the plastic variant of the the M8 dubbed as the HTC One E8. The phone will be made up using polycarbonate plastic shell and will be priced cheaper than its metallic cousin.
The phone was previously expected to launch only in China but now, HTC has confirmed that the phone will be made available in other selective markets from June itself. The HTC One M8 is currently selling for Rs. 45,321 in India so we can be sure that device will be cheaper than that.
HTC One E8 Full Specs
Even with the plastic body, the specifications are almost the same as the flagship. The HTC One E8 however comes with Dual SIM Connectivity, Dual Standby and supports 3G / 4G-LTE networks. The phone shares the same 5-Inch LCD3 Display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection. The Sharp colors, the screen has 441ppi Pixel Density.
The hardware is made up of 2.5GHz Quad Core Krait 400 Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 SOC, Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB Storage. There is also Micro SD Card Slot for further expansion up to 128GB. The phone will run on latest Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS out of the box overlapped with HTC Sense 6.0 UI.
The HTC One E8 Specifications also include a 5 Mega Pixel camera on the front for selfie clickers. The back side sports a 13 Mega Pixel Shooter with F/2.2 Aperture Lens, LED Flash, Auto / Touch Focus and HDR. The device draws its power from 2600 mAh battery which company claims to crunch out almost 26.6 Hours of Talk Time.
The E8 also comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, Dual Band, NFC, Micro USB V2.0, Bluetooth V4.0, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.
