Facebook Payments Service in Messenger now live in US

Social networking giant Facebook and entered in to mobile payments sector and doing so has integrated the Facebook Payments Service in Messenger. The company was already testing this service since March and now, this feature has been officially rolled out for the users in United States. It is a P2P payment system with added security measures, monitored and controlled.

How to use Facebook Payments Service in Messenger?

Users will first have to enter their debit card information. To send money, you have to tap on the “$” icon inside a conversation. Select the amount and than send the money transfer request. The recipient accepts the request and the money transfer takes place. It will take about three days for the transaction to show up in bank accounts.
