Casio has announced its first rugged Android Wear smartwatch at CES 2016 dubbed as the WSD-F10. It is highly priced at $500 (Rs. 33,250) and comes in stylish red, orange, green and black color options. This rugged smartwatch will launch in US and Japan by March end or early April.

This is an Android Wear OS smartwatch and is compatible with most smartphones running on Android 4.3+ or iOS. It has MIL-STD-810G military standard specifications, making it optimal for rugged use.
Casio WSD-F10 smartwatch is Dust and water resistant up to 50 meters. It has 1.32-Inch dual layer TFT LCD (monochrome LCD) Display with 320 x 300 pixels resolution. It comes with dedicated applications that measures changes in environments and track activity levels.
“Users can display measurement data and apps in color, or they can extend the device’s life to more than one month by selecting to a Timepiece Mode that displays only watch data in monochrome” said Casio.
It comes equipped with Pressure sensor that measures air pressure and altitude. It also has Accelerometer, Gyrometer, and magnetic compass. The battery inside gives more than 1 days of normal usage. Timepiece mode (displays time, useful for overnight trekking) will last for a month. The WSD-F10 features Bluetooth V4.1 LE, Wi-Fi b/g/n and houses single microphone inside.
