BlackBerry Priv (STV100-1) listing reveals full specifications, price of smartphone, Pre-order starts

Blackberry PRIV (STV100-1), an Android OS Based Blackberry smartphone, recently went on pre-registrations. The phone was listed on company’s official shop in US and Canada for a brief moment revealing its specifications. This mobile phone is now up for Pre-Order for or US$ 699 (Rs. 45,350 appxo.) in USA and CA$ 899 in the Canada and £559 in UK . The phone is said to ship from November 6, 2015.

The phone has dimensions of 147 (184 with slider open) x 77.2 x 9.4 mm and has weight of 192 Grams. It comes with a 4-row slider keyboard, that gives the handset Blackberry feel. This is the first BB Smartphone to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS.

The Blackberry Priv specs include 5.43-Inch AMOLED dual-curved Display that has 2560 x 1440 pixels Quad HD resolution at 540ppi pixel density. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 Protection that gives the phone a premium feel.

Inside is a 1.44GHz Quad Core Cortex-A53 + 1.8GHz Dual Core Cortex-A57 (Hexa Core) Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (64-Bit) processor with Adreno 418 GPU clocked at 600 MHz. The chipset is backed by 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage space and MicroSD card slot that allows further storage expansion up to 2TB.

The BlackBerry Priv Features 18MP main camera on the back with Dual-Tone Flash, F/2/2 Aperture, 6P Lens, Optical Image Stabilization, Phased Detection Auto Focus (PDAF), 6DOF Video stabilization and 4k video recording capabilities. It also has 5MP secondary camera on the front with 1.7 micron pixel size and F/2.8 aperture.

In terms of connectivity, this cell phone supports 4G-LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth V4.1 LE, USB 2.0 with Slimport, NFC, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.

It also has front facing speakers and 3 microphones for noise cancellation. The hardware is backed by 3410 mAh battery with fast charging, that gives up to 22.5 hours of mixed usage.
