Alcatel Idol 4 with 4G LTE, 5.2-Inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 617 launched in India

Alcatel has officially launched its IDOL 4 smartphone in India. It is already available in India by re-branded name BlackBerry DTEK50.

The smartphone is equipped with a dedicated boom key that offers wide range or functions when pressed. It can control camera, access gallery, music, games, videos etc.

The device also comes with VR Headset for 360-degree viewing and gaming experience. It also support MaxxAudio Technology and is equipped with 3.6W dual-speakers, Smart PA and TFA9890 for optimum audio.

Alcatel Idol 4 Specs include 5.2-Inch IPS LTPS display with Precog UI (Touchless control). The screen offers 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution and supports Live UI and Parallax UI as well. The display has Dragontrail Glass, Oleophobic coating, 170-degree viewing angles and supports 10-point multi-touch as well.

The mobile runs on and Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 (1.7GHz x 4 + 1.2GHz x 4) processor with Adreno 405 GPU (550MHz).  It has 3GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, further expandable up to 512GB using MicroSD Card.

The Idol 4 Features in 8MP selfie camera on the front with LED Flash, 1.12µm pixels and 84-degree wide angle lens. On the front side is 13MP rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, F/2.0 Aperture, EIS and 1080p video recording capabilities.

The hardware is fueled by 2610 mAh Li-Polymer battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support. The phone has dimensions of 147 x 72.5 x 7.1 mm and weighs 135 grams.

The smartphone comes with hybrid Dual SIM slots (nano + nano / microSD) and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. The cellphone also supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band (2.4/5GHz), Bluetooth V4.2, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, USB OTG, FM Radio, 3.5mm Audio Jack etc.

The Alcated Idol 4 is priced at Rs. 16,999 and will be available exclusively from Flipkart. It comes in Dark Grey, Metal Silver and Gold color options. Company is also offering JBL Stereo headset as in-the-box accessory.
