Acer Chromebook 14 with 14-Inch Display, 3950 mAh battery goes official

Acer has launched its latest Chromebook 14 in the US with full metal body and all-aluminum chassis. The high end variant with 14-inch 1080p display, 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM is already available online on for US$ 299.99. Pricing and availability of HD variant is not known yet.

Acer Chromebook 14 Specifications

For starters, the device runs on Google Chrome on OS. It comes with 14-Inch ComfyView Widescreen IPS LED-backlit Display with 1920 x 1080 pixels / 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and has 16:9 aspect ratio.


It comes with Intel Celeron N3060 Dual Core or Quad Core processor clocked at 1.6GHz (burst up to 2.4GHz using Intel Burst Technology) coupled with Intel HD Graphics. The Chromebook 14 specs include 2GB / 4GB LPDDR3 SDRAM  with 16GB / 32GB eMMC storage space.

The device also sports HD Camera with 88-degree wide angle lens and HDR support. It also has built-in speakers for sound output. It also has 3-Cell 3950 mAh Li-Po Battery that gives up to 14 hours of battery life (HD) or 12 Hours on (Full HD).

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Dual Band MIMO, Bluetooth V4.2, USB 3.0 x 2, HDMI port with HDCP Support etc.
